There are a few platforms that are built for people with a non-tech knowledge background that will help you build your startup’s online property. Shopify is specialized in e-commerce but requires a lot of additional purchases.
Webflow is very simple and sometimes it can’t deliver the functionalities you need. So we recommend WordPress. It is a customer management system that can be added directly from the hosting and everything is set up. You can choose a lot of good free themes such as OceanWP or use premium ones such as Divi that have a builder inside and you can do whatever you want.
- Place tracking codes
You have to prepare your platform for search engines and for social networks. Plugging in the Facebook Pixel and Google tracking code from Analytics is a perfect start. You can also take a look at Hot Jar which is an amazing tool that we use in all of our marketing strategies for startups.
- Set up your email marketing
The most effective marketing of all time is email marketing. You can talk to the person directly – not through likes or emojis, not through shares. But through custom-crafted messages. To do this, you need an email platform such as Hubspot, Mailchimp, or Mailerlite.
- Crafting your stationery and marketing materials
Take a look at the picture below. Where would you have your lunch? That’s what we thought. If you chose number one it means you are just sad that the owner is not getting many customers. If you chose number two, it is their visual presentation. Some of the startups just skip this step. But we are just talking out of our experience.
Find a designer that will craft good-looking social media templates that you will use all the time, or hire someone that can take care of the full process.

And this is the step that most business owners do not believe it works. Ha! The feeling comes because it takes time, not because it doesn’t work. You will have to learn the social culture and the social platforms’ algorithms and behavior so you can reach your audience. And the crucial move – be consistent and post as the social media platform requires. For example, Linkedin says 1 x day, Instagram 1-3 x day, Tiktok 3+ a day etc.
Having the information all over the places would be very hard. So, we recommend making a social calendar that will have the posts ready and scheduled in the appropriate timings for every social network your audience uses.
